every other day it's from someone else. I block the email address, but they change it. Is there a way to block them completely or request them not to use my e-mail anymore?
Where and how do companies get my email address that send me spam and viruses?
Don't register your e-mail account with anyone. Lots of companies tempt you with awards and prizes to register, then they sell your information to unscrupulous spammers. Avoid unseemly websites that secretly load malware, or spyware on your computer to get your information. Don't put up your e-mail address on any websites. Spam-bots cruise the Internet looking for them to add to their database. Don't send them mail requesting to be removed, they will simply confirm a valid e-mail address and pound it even harder! Good luck.

When you visit "certain" websites! If you know what i mean....

They use keylogger to capture you email address and password. Probably spywares. Once your email address being captured by them there will sell this to every single advertising company to make profit. Thats how you got different senders everytime.
Reply:Your email address is collected by certain sites, the ones that make you sign up to use their page.. you know the ones. Also if you post online, or buy things online.. its pretty horrible, but what many companies do is SELL the collected email addresses to companies that send out spam.
DO NOT REPLY TO ANY OF THEM.
If you reply saying you want off the list, they will know they have a LIVE email address, meaning an active email address that is in use, which in turn will result in even more spam your way.
Your best bet.. Make sure you got your spam filter, or bulk folder (Yahoo!) up and running and grin and bear it till it dies down, which it may.
If it has gotten out of hand, you may want to trash that email address all together and start fresh, although using the former as the NEW spam address.
Good Luck
Reply:well, some websites actually sell your information (like your e-mail address) to spamming companies :)
Reply:Yahoo Mail has a very good email blocker. Options, Spam.. and turn it on.
Or you will need to contact your ISP to get instruction on how to stop spam.
